With the debut of its plagiarism checker in 2014, Unplag is now asking educators across the globe to create a free solution for more effective interaction with students.
Online, August 19, 2015 (Newswire.com) - The team at Unplag, a fast and accurate plagiarism detection engine, is currently inviting educators from around the world to say what features to add to its new solution for educators to be launched in October, 2015. The online solution will provide a set of options to enable automatic evaluation, editing and plagiarism check of student assignments, and more. To foster better writing skills in students everywhere, educators will be able to access it for free. To see an online presentation about the project, please click here.
"The idea to ask educators what kind of tool they would like to have to minimize their workload and ensure students write plagiarism-free papers was a no-brainer," says Slava Orishechko, Head of the Marketing Department at Unplag. "We hope to collect as much feedback as possible to develop a solution with maximum functionality. So far, we've worked out a list of must-have options including checking for similarities, evaluating, editing and commenting on student writings, and also have some other ideas to be implemented soon. "
To get started, educators will just need to register and invite students to join the system. The solution allows users to create, send, receive and manage student writings. The assignments received will already be checked for plagiarism against the Internet and Unplag databases, showing highlighted areas with non-unique text and a list of links to original sources. Passages or sentences which need quotes and cites will also be flagged.
Having received an assignment, the instructor can leave his or her feedback, evaluate the work or send it back for revisions. The solution will also allow educators to compare two works to each other or check a newly submitted paper across all the files stored in an educator's database.
The user interface and file management features are designed to be easy-to-use for creating, sorting, moving, naming and arranging files and folders in the convenient way.
Capabilities for tutoring, conducting research, and mobile access are among the features to be developed after the system is launched. Educators and students are also free to use the Unplag plagiarism checker for personal needs at a set price.
